The course is a part of the city park system. As with many courses in this area of Texas, one of the most well-known hazards is the prevailing wind. The greens are medium in size, and the fairways are fairly wide open, although. miss the fairway and any number of trees can deflect your golf ball. There are no sand bunkers on the course, but there is some water in play.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,572 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,412 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 11, a par-5 that plays to 518 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 8, a par-3 that plays to 135 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 18, a 468-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Sinton Golf Course is # 8, the 135 yard par-3.

Love playing here. This is Texas golf like it was when Hogan, Nelson, Penick etc... were in their hayday. Was really, really windy the day we played, but still a lot of fun, a real challenge, and above all, dirt cheap. They should hold the US Open here. Try holding these greens in Summer.
